Is a HACCP checklist mandatory?
Food businesses must run a food safety management system based on HACCP principles and keep records proving the checks were done. Daily check sheets are the simplest way to keep those records.
How often should fridge temperatures be recorded?
Usually at least once a day, at opening, for every fridge and freezer. Your food safety plan sets the frequency and limits: the sheet has one column per unit.
How long should I keep the records?
It depends on your food safety plan and local authority guidance, typically at least a year. A digital log means they never get lost.
Can staff fill them in on a phone instead of paper?
Yes: in GastroBrain your team completes checklists on their phone with temperatures, photos and signatures, and the history exports to PDF in one click.
